Website Plan Terms & Service Policies

Last updated: August 24, 2026

These terms explain the service policies that apply to customers who purchase or use a LeftField Local website plan. By purchasing or renewing a website plan, or submitting materials for setup under a purchased plan, you agree to these terms.

1. Website Services

LeftField Local’s tiered website plans are intended to provide small businesses with an affordable, professional online presence through a streamlined, hand-built service. The plans are not sold as full custom development projects, search engine optimization campaigns, advertising services, legal services, financial services, or guaranteed lead generation services.

LeftField Local may also provide custom web design, web development, and related services separately from its tiered website plans. Custom services require a separate quote and agreement and are not included in website plan pricing, upgrades, or renewals. Businesses interested in custom work should contact LeftField Local to discuss their needs.

2. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate business information, contact details, website content, images, logo files, service descriptions, links, and any other materials needed to build your website.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any text, images, logos, trademarks, business names, testimonials, or other materials you submit to LeftField Local. LeftField Local is not responsible for copyright, trademark, licensing, or ownership disputes related to materials you provide.

3. Website Setup Timeline

Website setup may be completed in as little as 3 business days after payment and all required final materials have been received for the plan purchased.

The setup timeline does not begin at checkout. It begins only after LeftField Local has received complete, ready-to-use materials needed to build the website, including required business information, website text, logo files, images, contact details, service information, and any other materials required for the selected plan.

All materials submitted for website setup are considered final, proofread, approved, and ready for publication. LeftField Local builds and publishes the website using the materials provided and does not include a separate draft review or final approval stage before launch.

Incomplete, unclear, missing, delayed, inaccessible, incorrectly formatted, or unusable materials may delay setup. Setup time may also vary based on the selected plan, separately requested changes, domain-related setup, technical issues, third-party service delays, or other circumstances outside LeftField Local’s control.

Changes requested after final materials have been submitted are not included in the original setup unless LeftField Local determines they are necessary to correct a build error. Customer-requested edits, replacements, or revisions may be treated as website updates and quoted separately based on the actual work required.

The 3-business-day setup window is an estimated setup timeframe and is not a guaranteed launch deadline.

4. Payments and Billing

Website plans are presented at a monthly price but billed annually unless otherwise stated. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, website plans renew automatically for successive annual terms until canceled. Customers will receive advance notice of the upcoming renewal date before the payment method on file is charged. Setup fees, initial annual plan payments, plan upgrades, and other service charges are due according to the service selected at checkout.

Prices, plan details, setup fees, promotional offers, and available services may change at any time. Promotional offers are available only under the terms stated with the offer and may not apply to renewals, existing customers, upgrades, or previously purchased services.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Setup fees are non-refundable once work has begun. Website plan payments are non-refundable after setup work, hosting setup, domain registration, content preparation, design work, or website publication has started.

You may cancel future renewal billing online through the LeftField Local contact formor through the Stripe-hosted customer portal linked from eligible billing emails before your next renewal date. Canceling renewal does not end your current paid service early. Your website will remain published through the end of your current annual term unless you specifically request that it be unpublished sooner.

No refund or prorated credit will be issued for unused time remaining in the current paid term.

At the end of the current paid term, if the service has not been renewed, the website will be unpublished, disabled, or removed from the LeftField Local system.

Customer Content and Files

Before your paid service term expires, you may submit a written request for a copy of customer-owned materials associated with your website. LeftField Local will provide available customer-specific images and other customer-owned files, along with your website copy in plain text format.

This does not include the LeftField Local website itself, website source files, code, templates, layouts, modules, platform functionality, or images or other materials licensed by LeftField Local or a third party for use within the LeftField Local system.

Requests for customer content or files must be received before the current paid service term expires. After service expiration, LeftField Local is not responsible for retaining, recovering, or providing copies of website content or account-specific files.

Managed Plan customers who wish to transfer a domain should review the domain transfer requirements in Section 6, Domains and Hosting.

6. Domains and Hosting

Some plans may include a LeftField Local-hosted URL, while other plans may include domain-related services or allow use of an existing domain. Availability of a specifically requested domain name cannot be guaranteed.

Domain registration and basic domain management are included with the Managed Plan. Starter and Professional Plan customers who use their own domain remain responsible for domain registration and renewal, registrar access, DNS and nameserver settings, and forwarding or masking.

Business email and email-related setup, hosting, support, and troubleshooting are not included with any website plan.

If a domain is registered by LeftField Local as part of a Managed Plan, the customer’s business will be identified as the registrant or registered name holder of the domain. The domain belongs to the customer’s business and is not owned by LeftField Local.

Because LeftField Local is responsible for managing the domain while it remains part of an active Managed Plan, LeftField Local may maintain the registrar account and use LeftField Local-controlled contact information where necessary or permitted for domain administration. This may include renewal notices, account security and verification messages, two-factor authentication, technical management, and other registrar communications.

Use of LeftField Local contact information for domain management does not give LeftField Local ownership of the domain. Domain registration and management are provided as a service for the duration of the applicable Managed Plan.

Domain Transfers

A customer may request transfer of a LeftField Local-managed domain to another registrar. Transfer requests must be submitted in explicit written form at least 21 calendar days before the current paid service term expires.

Domain transfers are subject to the policies, transfer eligibility requirements, security restrictions, processing times, and transfer locks imposed by the applicable registrar, registry, or domain provider. LeftField Local cannot override a registrar or registry restriction that temporarily prevents a domain from being transferred.

The customer is responsible for promptly completing any steps required by the receiving registrar or domain provider. Because parts of the transfer process are outside LeftField Local’s control, LeftField Local cannot guarantee that a transfer will be completed by a particular date if the customer, receiving registrar, registry, or other provider delays or prevents completion.

Once a domain transfer is completed, LeftField Local will no longer have access to manage the domain. By requesting an early transfer, the customer voluntarily gives up any remaining domain registration or management benefits included with the Managed Plan for the remainder of the current paid term. No refund or prorated credit will be issued for those unused benefits.

After transfer, the customer or their new provider becomes responsible for domain renewal, registrar settings, DNS, nameservers, security settings, and all other domain-related administration.

Transferring the domain does not end the customer’s current LeftField Local website service. LeftField Local will continue hosting the website through the end of the current paid term. If the customer or their new provider changes the transferred domain’s DNS or nameserver settings so that the domain no longer points to LeftField Local, the website will remain available at its assigned LeftField Local-hosted URL until the current paid term expires.

If a Managed Plan is not renewed, LeftField Local is not responsible for renewing the domain after the current paid term expires. Customers who intend to transfer a LeftField Local-managed domain should request the transfer within the timeframe described above.

Domain registration fees are non-refundable.

7. Website Content and Changes

Each website plan includes only the content and features listed for that plan at the time of purchase. Customers are responsible for reviewing and proofreading all website text, business information, contact details, images, logos, and other materials before submitting them to LeftField Local.

Website setup does not include copywriting, proofreading, image editing beyond the standard formatting required for the selected layout, advanced customization, SEO work, integrations, technical troubleshooting, or other services unless they are specifically identified as included with the selected plan.

Customers must follow any word, character, image, file-format, and other submission requirements provided in the Next Steps checklist. LeftField Local is not responsible for omitted, shortened, reformatted, or otherwise affected content when submitted materials exceed those limits or do not meet the stated requirements.

Website content must be provided in a language and format that LeftField Local can reasonably review, build, and support. Customer-provided content in languages other than English may be accepted at LeftField Local’s discretion, but translation services and multilingual versions of a website are not included. Customers are responsible for the accuracy, meaning, spelling, grammar, and legal compliance of all content they provide. LeftField Local may decline content that cannot be adequately reviewed for meaning, legality, appropriateness, or compliance with these Terms.

Requests to edit, replace, revise, or expand previously submitted content may be treated as website updates and quoted separately based on the actual work required. Update pricing follows the same affordable approach as our website setup fees. Customers receive the quoted price in advance, and no update work begins until the customer approves the quote.

Website updates are not included with any plan, and customers pay for changes only when they need them. Plan upgrades are optional. Customers are not required to upgrade to continue their current website plan with its existing features. If a customer chooses to add a feature included only with a higher-tier plan, the customer must move to the plan that includes it. Additional sections and other higher-tier features are not available as one-time website updates while retaining a lower-tier plan and renewal price.

Customers may contact LeftField Local before purchasing a plan with questions about the potential cost of future website updates. Any information provided before purchase is for general guidance only and does not constitute a binding quote unless a specific update request has been reviewed and quoted in writing.

LeftField Local reserves the right to decline content or change requests that are outside the scope of the selected plan, technically impractical, misleading, unlawful, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the purpose of the service.

8. No Guarantees

LeftField Local does not guarantee search rankings, website traffic, leads, sales, customer inquiries, business results, approval by third-party platforms, or uninterrupted website availability.

While reasonable care is taken to provide reliable website service, technical issues, hosting interruptions, domain issues, third-party service outages, browser changes, security issues, or other events may affect website availability or performance.

9. Third-Party Services

LeftField Local may use or link to third-party services such as payment processors, domain providers, hosting tools, contact forms, maps, social media platforms, analytics tools, image libraries, or other external services.

LeftField Local is not responsible for the availability, policies, pricing, security, performance, or actions of third-party services.

10. Acceptable Use

You may not use LeftField Local services for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, harmful, infringing, fraudulent, or malicious purposes. LeftField Local reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service for websites or requests that violate these terms or create unreasonable risk. Payments are non-refundable when service is refused, suspended, or terminated because of a violation of these terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LeftField Local is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

LeftField Local’s total liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the amount paid by you to LeftField Local for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

12. Service Changes

LeftField Local may update, modify, pause, discontinue, or replace any plan, service, feature, price, promotion, or website option. Changes to pricing or material plan terms will generally apply to new purchases or future renewals. Existing customers will be notified of material changes that affect their current paid term or upcoming renewal.

13. Updates to These Terms

LeftField Local may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
